Meet Erik J. Geiger, M.D.
Dr. Erik Geiger is a dual-fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic oncology and complex limb deformity surgery. He treats patients with cancer, trauma, infection, and congenital or acquired limb differences.
Dr. Geiger has trained at the top programs in the world. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from Yale University, where he was a varsity soccer captain and All-Ivy League athlete. He earned his medical degree and a Master’s in Health Science from the Yale School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF).
He completed fellowships in orthopaedic oncology at UCLA and the Orthopaedic Institute for Children, as well as with the Limb Lengthening and Complex Reconstruction Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. His expertise includes the treatment of sarcoma, bone lengthening, bone transport, deformity correction, amputation reconstruction, and osseointegration.
Dr. Geiger is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons (ABOS). He is a member of the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS), the International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS), and the St. Jude Childhood Cancer Survivor Study. He continues to actively publish research in the fields of cancer survivorship, sarcoma surgery, musculoskeletal oncology, and limb reconstruction.
